The Global Gypsy Collection is true to its name. Inspired by and embodying her nomadic lifestyle and world travels, artisan Suzan Crane creates exclusive, one-of-a-kind art pieces from stones she culls and purchases from the source. Jadeite from Guatemala, fine amber from Chiapas, Mexico, emeralds from Colombia, lapis lazuli from Chile. Further incorporating Balinesian and Thai silver, feathers, fish vertebrae, snakeskin, bone, horn and shells into her designs - Crane defines a style uniquely her own for an equally distinctive customer who embraces personal style rather than fleeting fashion trends.
Crane is particularly renowned for her feather earring/pendant collection. Using natural plumage from local and tropical birds intrinsic to the countries she visits, each earring or pendant features up to fifteen feathers and is augmented by stones, sterling silver and other findings. The result is a piece of wearable art that some have actually purchased to frame. And an important note for vegetarians and environmentalists: birds drop their feathers naturally!"
When Suzan is traveling, she might not have access to the internet. Therefore, some pieces may have been sold. If you want to purchase an item send Suzan an email and she'll let you know if she has the same or a similar item in stock. If not, she'll be happy to work with you to create something special.
